Tata Trusts and Tetley contribute $1 million to Smile Train to help thousands of children born with cleft lips and palates to smile for the first time

Tetley and Tata Trusts are together contributing $1 million to Smile Train to enable corrective surgeries for children with cleft lip and cleft palate

Tetley and Tata Trusts have come together to contribute $1 million to Smile Train, an international children’s charity, to enable free corrective surgeries for children with cleft lips and cleft palates. Smile Train’s sustainable model provides training, funding and resources to empower local doctors in over 85 developing countries to provide free cleft repair surgery and comprehensive cleft care in their communities.

Tetley’s partnership with Smile Train symbolises the brand's philosophy of 'spreading moments of warmth’. The partnership provides an opportunity for the company to go beyond consumers and give back to the community, in the process lighting smiles on many innocent faces.

Tetley has also initiated a digital campaign called 'Tetley Smile Challenge' to invite consumer participation and to raise awareness about Smile Train and the partnership. Innovative facial recognition software will digitally capture consumer smiles as they view humorous and engaging video content as part of the campaign, which focuses on the transformative power of a smile.
