Tata to take centre stage at CBI Annual Conference 2008
Tata also announces a series of CBI breakfast seminars on corporate sustainability
Tata is pleased to announce its position as a ‘principal sponsor’ of the Annual Confederation of British Industry (CBI) Conference on 24th November at The London Hilton Park Lane Hotel.
The CBI, the premier lobbying organisation for UK business on national and international issues, with Tata as a sponsor, will host a conference aimed at an audience of board directors and other senior executives on the theme of ‘performance through adversity’.
Both secretary of state for business, enterprise and regulatory reform, Lord Mandelson, and the leader of the opposition, David Cameron, have confirmed their attendance at the conference.
Delegates at the conference will be able to read about Tata’s 100+ year UK history at a special Tata exhibition outside the ballroom. Tata will also host two tables at the gala dinner after the conference.
Tata is also hosting four breakfast seminars with the CBI in key UK regions; Birmingham, Cardiff, Manchester and Sheffield. The theme of each of these breakfasts will be corporate sustainability as despite current economic instability, it remains high on boardroom agendas. The seminars will look at why companies should embrace corporate sustainability, the business benefits it can bring and best practise programmes.
Key speakers from organisations such as Corus, the Prince’s Trust, Tetley group, BT, Brunner Mond and Concern Universal will be present at each of the seminars.
Corporate Sustainability Breakfast Seminars:
Birmingham 4 December 2008
Cardiff 21 January 2009
Manchester 4 February 2009
Sheffield 24 February 2009
